Lynn Cain was born in Townsend, Montana and raised in Broadwater and Gallatin Counties. He graduated from Helena High Scholl and attended college at the University of Montana in Missoula. He hauled rodeo stock and worked in Yellowstone Park during his youth, and made a career in the U.S. Forest Service after college.
Lynn began sculpting about a year beore he retired. A few years later he discovered a talent in graphite art. Since retiring from the Forest Service, Lynn has pursued his passion for art in two media: sculpting and graphite art. Lynn is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and when time permits, an avid bicyclist, hunter, and fisherman. Lynn and his family make their home in Townsend.
Believe it or not, Lynn was going to be a physical therapist, however, his course moved off of that path when he pursued his true love of the great outdoors. He worked in Yellowstone Park during college and eventually worked and retired from the US Forest Service.
