We had a marvelous time over 5 days of auctions, quick draw events, and artist displays in Great Falls, MT from March 13 – 17. Thursday’s highlight was watching Deb Schmit’s piece “A Little Overdressed” garner more bids at the CM Russell Museum’s silent auction any other work.
Todd Connor’s art in action painting of a young frontier woman (“Frontier Innocence”) appeared on the Arts page of the Great Falls Tribune the following day. We cheered when a Dick Lauritzen fishing composition sold at the live auction for $4,800; and Saturday night will long be remembered for Tom Gilleon’s 50 x 50 tipi “Hair Apparent” setting an auction record for his work at $225,000.
We returned with new work for the gallery from Kevin Red Star, John DeMott, Diana Brady, Shirle Wempner, and Carol Spielman.
COME BY THE GALLERY TO VIEW THESE AMAZING PIECES OF ART!! SEE YOU AT THE GALLERY….
